Training

Bridging the Gap is a registered training organisation (RTO Provider Number 52113). At Bridging the Gap we offer both nationally accredited and non-accredited training courses. We offer courses at our training facility in our Rockingham office. Training is also available at Ngulla Community Nursery. Ngulla has specialist-training facilities for horticulture and conservation courses. We pride ourselves on maintaining a relaxed and comfortable learning environment that encourages our clients to realise their full potential in their chosen field.

Our Team

At Bridging the Gap, we have a team of experienced trainers to help guide you through your personal or professional development experience.

Haroon Khan- Manager Training and Career Development. M.HR&IR, M.Psych, P.GDip.HRM, B.Sc, CertIV TAA.

Haroon started his career as a tax officer in the Central Superior Services of Pakistan. His experience includes over 20 years in senior management positions including Additional Commissioner of Income- Tax in the Federal Board of Revenue. Haroon joined Bridging the Gap in Jan 2010 and is the Manager of Training & Career Development and a Senior Human Resources Adviser. He is passionate about bridging the gap between youth and employment through training and career development interventions.

Haroon’s academic qualifications include a Master of Psychology, Master of Human Resources and Industrial relations, Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources and a Bachelor of Science.  He is a Certified Professional Member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (CAHRI) and an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AFAIM). He is a certified Trainer holding Certificate IV Training and Assessment. His expertise includes Strategic Human Resource Management and Organisational Development.

Sarah Carberry – Conservation and Land Management. Bsc. Ecotourism,  Dip. CLM, Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment.

Sarah has an extensive knowledge base in Conservation and Land Management and Environmental studies. She has worked in a broad variety of environmental positions from mining restoration to Ecotourism. Sarah’s passion for the environment is abundant which proves to be contagious for her students and colleagues. Sarah currently trains participants in the National Green Jobs Corps.

Kerrin Leavesley – Business and IT. Advance Dip. Business, Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment.

Kerrin has been training computer skills in the First and Second Click program with Bridging the Gap for three years. Kerrin has an extensive work history in the business field and brings advanced skills, knowledge, and real world experience into her training. Kerrin is currently training our First and Second Click and Certificate II in Business.

Katrina Sieracki - Horticulture. Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment, Cert III Horticulture, Bsc. Conservation & Wildlife Biology.

As assistant manager in a working nursery Katrina has gained first-hand experience in nursery and horticulture work. A decade of experience in the horticulture industry has developed Katrina’s skills and knowledge to the highest level. Katrina brings an excellent knowledge base and passion for the industry that is evident in her training. Katrina is currently training in Certificate II in Horticulture.

Julie Hall - Business Management and Community. Associate  Dip Res Care, Post Grad Dip Counselling, Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment, Cert IV Small Business Management, Workplace Health and Safety Officer Certificate of Authority

Julie has been in the business of counselling, coaching and training for over 25 years.  As a qualified counsellor and trainer, she has had many years of training and coaching experience in both public and private sectors. Julie is also qualified in small business management and has a personal and professional understanding of what it takes to run a business. Julie has also worked in a number of Senior Management roles in State and Local Government and Federal Government and in Non-Government Organisations and incorporated both her training, group coaching and counselling expertise to these roles. She is an experienced presenter, public speaker, and writer, qualified to conduct programs on the skills of presenting and training, as well as personal development, business development and organizational development programs.
