WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?
We are offering a Nationally Accredited Certificate lll in Community Services Work. This qualification will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to work effectively with individuals and groups, in residential and community settings, to identify their needs and plan and develop appropriate services to meet those needs.
You will learn about the community services sector including mental health, alcohol and other drug services and domestic violence services. You will learn skills in effective communication, gathering, maintaining and providing information, advocacy and comunity development processes, ethical behaviour and legal responsibilities of community workers.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THIS COURSE?
It is anticipated that students enrolling in this course will take 6 months to complete the required units and assessments.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
Students will need to demonstrate that they are competent in all aspects of each unit of competency within this qualification. At Bridging the Gap we use many methods of skill and knowledge assessment. We pride ourselves on creating a comfortable and relaxed ssessment environment and cater to the needs of each individual student.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR MY PRIOR EXPERIENCES AND STUDY TO BE RECOGNISED?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available on request. RPL assesses the current competencies of each individual candidate.

WHERE CANÂ I GO FROM HERE?
On completion of your Certificate lll in Community Services Work your future options are open to entering the workplace or
continuing on to further study. Your future study options include the relevant Certificate, lV, Diploma or onto University to complete further study.
