WHAT IS THIS COURSE ABOUT?

Bridging the Gap is offering a Nationally Accredited Certificate lV in Community Services Work. This course is designed for those seeking a fulfilling career in community services, providing a range of services and interventions to clients in residential and community settings. You will gain specialist communication, client support and interventions skills need to work in this industry.

Work may take place in a range of contexts such as community based organisations, residential rehabilitation services and outreach services.

This course does not have any prerequisites for entry.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THIS COURSE?

It is anticipated that students enrolling in this course will take 6 months to complete the required units and assessments.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Students will need to demonstrate that they are competent in all aspects of each unit of competency within this qualification. At
Bridging the Gap we use many methods of skill and knowledge assessment. We pride ourselves on creating a comfortable and relaxed assessment environment and cater to the needs of each individual student.

WILL I BE ELIGIBLE FOR GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE?

If you are a Jobs Services Australia or Centrelink client contact your Jobs Services Provider. Alternatively for information on government assistance please visit the Australian Department of Human Services website.

IS IT POSSIBLE FOR MY PRIOR EXPERIENCES AND STUDY TO BE RECOGNISED?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available on request. RPL assesses the current competencies of each individual candidate.
Candidates may have achieved skills in their study, work and life experience. See our RPL information page for more details.

WHERE CAN I GO FROM HERE?

On completion of your Certificate lV in Community Services Work your future options are open to entering the workplace or
continuing on to further study. Your future study options include the relevant Certificate, Diploma or onto University to complete further study.
