40 years of Bridging the Gap

Employment, career development and training services

As we celebrate our fortieth birthday this year, our commitment to making a positive impact in communities in WA remains as strong as ever.

For forty years we’ve been providing training, employment and services to the Perth South and Peel communities. Through the last four decades we have successfully delivered numerous state and federally funded programs. These vital programs have supported and uplifted disadvantaged, disenfranchised and vulnerable people.

Our aim has always been:

    • to support people experiencing systemic and intergenerational unemployment or underemployment,
    • empower young parents and at-risk youth,
    • provide essential support to people and their families who are recovering, healing and rebuilding their lives after fleeing family and domestic violence.

As CEO Matthew Lambert says, “Identifying needs in our community and addressing any gaps in support is at the heart of what Bridging the Gap does. As we look forward to the next forty years, our passion to bridge gaps in our communities is stronger than ever.”

With our comprehensive range of allied health services including psychology, counselling, social work, art therapy, psychosocial therapies, and speech pathology, we are making an impact in communities from Warwick in the north to Bunbury in the south.

As we reflect on our past achievements, we also reaffirm our commitment to continuing what we know we do best: forming partnerships with local organisations, and working collaboratively to support participants in overcoming barriers, achieving their individual goals and re-engaging with their communities.

Thank you for being a part of our journey, and allowing us to be a part of yours.
